With her prodigious cleavage bursting from a skintight black mini-dress, rapper Foxy Brown today swore to defend herself vigorously against a charge she violated a court order by mooning her neighbor.
Resplendent in a midnight green velvet jacket and tan Louis Vuitton alligator stilettos, Brown appeared in Brooklyn Supreme Court to set a trial date for a single misdemeanor count of contempt of court.
Prosecutors have yet to make an offer to settle the charge, for which Brown, whose real name is Inga Marchand, faces up to a year in jail.
“We’re gonna fight this,” Brown said.
Outside court, Brown smiled warmly as she showed off her curvy figure, Vuitton handbag and lilac fingernails, but refused to answer further questions.
“I’m dying to talk but m lawyer said not to,” she said.
Brown allegedly mooned her Bed-Stuy neighbor Arlene Raymond in July despite an order of protection barring any contact.
The pair have a long-running feud and in 2007 Brown allegedly bopped Raymond on the head with her Blackberry.
After the alleged butt-baring incident, the rapper was indicted on tk tk counts of felony contempt, but those charges were dismissed leaving just the misdemeanor charge.
Brown’s lawyer, Salvatore Strazzullo, said he wasn’t interested in a plea bargain.
“We want them to dismiss the case,” Strazzullo said. “It’s really a case of nonsense.”
Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice John Walsh ordered Brown back to court on February 7, 2011.
But before any trial there needs to be a hearing on whether Raymond’s identification of Brown as the flasher was valid.
It’s unclear which body part Raymond used to ID the rapper.
